If you’re thinking of picking up any big-ticket items soon—whether for yourself or as a gift for someone on your list— I would advise you to wait until you see what retailers have in store for the holiday sales season, which will kick off in earnest in mid-November. Walmart is the first major retailer to announce its Black Friday and Cyber Monday plan for 2026, and they actually involve three major shopping events between now and the December holidays.
What is Walmart doing for Black Friday and Cyber Monday in 2026?
As it did in 2025, Walmart will hold three sales between Nov. 12 and Dec. 2, as outlined in a recent press release. The sales will be both online and in-store, and will target a mix of Walmart+ members and general shoppers.
When are Walmart’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales in 2026?
The events will take place on three different dates:
Walmart’s Black Friday Deals Event 1: Nov. 12–15
Walmart’s Black Friday Deals Event 2: Nov. 23–29
-
Online only: Nov. 23 starting at 12:01 a.m. ET
-
Online and in stores: Nov. 27 starting at 6 a.m. local time
-
Walmart+ members get six hours of early access online beginning Nov. 23 at 12:01 a.m. ET
Walmart’s Cyber Monday Deals Event: Nov. 30-Dec. 2
What will be on sale during Walmart’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales?
Walmart says that you can expect discounts on electronics, toys, fashion, beauty, home goods, gifts, and everyday essentials. Although the company doesn’t provide much in the way of specifics in its press release, last year’s sales included discounts on TCL TVs, Dyson vacuums, Dreo appliances, and toys from LEGO.

What other retailers are holding Black Friday sales?
The holiday season will see major sales from the same list of retailers that compete for your dollars throughout the year—namely, Best Buy, Target, and Amazon. Each will have its own version of Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. So far, only Walmart has revealed its plans.
Are Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals worth it?
In short, yes. Though they aren’t quite as impactful as they once were, Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales offer discounts that can be rare throughout the rest of the year. Whether it’s a major purchase you’ve been saving up for or you’re shopping for gifts, it’s a good time to look for discounts, especially on items like appliances and electronics. Last year’s sales included categories such as tech, home improvement, and fitness.
Are Cyber Monday deals better than Black Friday deals?
Black Friday used to be when major retailers offered their best deals on expensive tech and appliances, while Cyber Monday was for cheaper tech and gave smaller businesses a chance to compete online. Now, however, the distinction is almost meaningless: Every major retailer offers sales on both days, which means the smart move is to know what you want, use price trackers to monitor the deals, and refer to our Black Friday coverage, where we do all the searching, curating, and price tracking for you.
